Ax 2012: Critical hot fix for Absorption costs

The RTM version of Ax 2012 R2 and Ax 2012 R3 has a bug that produces incorrect accounting entries after run the absorption costing month closing.

Download and install the kb3002965 form Lifecycle Services, from there you can download the fix for R2 and R3.

After install the fix expect the following accounting entries:
C – the account used on absorption cost journal
D – Resources: Accounts – costing – Offset account
C – Inventory posting: Production – Receipt offset account
D – Inventory posting: Production – Production receipt

The posting types used on each accounting were also fixed, before the fix use to be Production receipt for all entries, after the fix is:

C – Production – resource issue
D – Production offset account, resource issue
C – Production offset account receipt
D – Production receipt

The expectation is that the accounts used on Absorption Journal are "reducing expense accounts", not the actual expense accounts. After process the absorption costing will cancel each other, which means that all cost was transferred to the inventory:
